Al Baik to Officially Launch First Branches in Pakistan Soon: Minister
Saudi fast-food chain Albaik is opening branches in major cities across Pakistan soon, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan announced in Jeddah on Saturday. During his visit to Albaik’s facilities, the minister met with Pakistani employees and discussed the brand’s expansion plans. Albaik confirmed that it is in the final stages of establishing a presence in Pakistan following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU). The discussions, which took place at the first-ever Made in Pakistan exhibition, focused on business collaborations, investment prospects, and Saudi brands entering the Pakistani market, according to an official statement. Albaik’s entry is expected to create jobs and strengthen economic ties between the two nations. The minister acknowledged Pakistani workers’ contributions to Saudi businesses and welcomed Albaik’s expansion, emphasizing its potential to boost Pakistan’s fast-food industry. In a separate meeting with leading Saudi businessmen, he encouraged investment in Pakistan’s energy, agriculture, IT, healthcare, infrastructure, and consumer goods sectors. He highlighted Pakistan’s 22% export growth to Saudi Arabia, reaching $700 million, and assured investors of a favorable business environment with tax incentives and legal protections. Saudi businessmen are interested in collaborating in Pakistan’s construction materials, textiles, and the food industries.
