BankIslami Partners with Euronet Pakistan to Enhance Card Issuance and Drive Digital Transformation

BankIslami Pakistan Limited, one of the leading Islamic banks in Pakistan, offering a wide range of Shariah-compliant financial products and services, has announced a strategic collaboration with Euronet Pakistan, a division of Euronet Worldwide, a US based NASDAQ listed company and a global leader in payment processing and transaction services. The signing ceremony was held at BankIslami Head Office in Karachi and was attended by Mr. Rizwan Atta, CEO of BankIslami, Mr. Kashif Gaya, CEO of Euronet Pakistan, and senior team members from both the organizations. Through this collaboration, BankIslami aims to enhance its Debit Cards and ATM driving services, while achieving operational efficiencies, improving service uptimes, and introducing new and innovative payment products. Under this partnership, all existing BankIslami Debit Cards and ATMs will be migrated to Euronet’s advanced and modernized payment processing platform and infrastructure. Additionally, Euronet will implement various new card programs and variants, while managing the Bank’s wide-range ATM network across Pakistan. The entire solution will be hosted on a PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure within Euronet’s data center facilities in Pakistan, fully compliant with global data security, local regulatory guidelines, and customer data protection standards.
