CDA to Auction Commercial Plots and Shops in Blue Area Next Month

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is preparing for an upcoming auction of commercial plots and shops, particularly in the Blue Area and other key business hubs of Islamabad, according to Dawn. Officials expect strong investor interest in a variety of properties, including Class III shopping centers. While the exact auction date has not been confirmed, sources suggest it may take place next month. CDA also plans to auction shops in the Blue Area Parking Plaza, which are ready for immediate use. However, unlike other properties, these shops will not be available under the two-year installment plan. Instead, buyers will likely have six months to settle payments. On Tuesday, CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting at the agency’s headquarters, where board members and auction committee representatives discussed investment incentives. The chairman stressed the need to offer attractive opportunities to investors and ensure the market value of Blue Area shops is properly assessed. The auction will feature hotel plots, apartment sites, industrial plots, and commercial spaces. To encourage participation, investors will be offered flexible installment plans for eligible properties.
