Citi Pharma to Venture into Direct Marketing Sector 

Citi Pharma Ltd. (PSX: CPHL) is set to venture into the direct marketing sector starting January 1, 2025, by establishing a dedicated team across Pakistan.  In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday, the company said that the development aligns with its 2030 Vision: From “Care to Cure”.  CPHL said this shift marks a transition from its primary focus on servicing hospitals and institutions as well as its API business to directly providing its high-quality pharmaceutical products to the public. This strategic move highlights its commitment to improving access to affordable and quality healthcare solutions for everyone in Pakistan, it added.  To lead this initiative, CPHL has appointed Aamir Shahzad as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Shahzad has 28 years of experience in top national and multinational pharmaceutical companies including Barret Hodgson, Hilton Pharma, Brystol Mayer Squib and Herbion,.  Shahzad joins CPHL with the target of making it the leading pharmaceutical company in Pakistan by 2030, offering economical solutions like insulin and biological products to address the country’s growing healthcare needs. Additionally, he aims to expand Citi Pharma’s reach globally, bringing affordable and innovative healthcare solutions to international markets.  Citi Pharma’s product portfolio will include general formulations such as antibiotics for bacterial infections, cardiovascular medicines, anti-diabetic drugs, analgesics and antipyretics for pain and fever management, and respiratory treatments for asthma and other chronic conditions, providing comprehensive healthcare solutions.  In the field of biotechnology products, CPHL will focus towards diabetes management (insulin), vaccines for infection prevention, monoclonal antibodies for autoimmune and chronic conditions (Cancer and Arthritis), and recombinant proteins for rare and complex diseases, showcasing our commitment to advanced treatment options.
