Pakistan Customs has seized 234.133 tolas (2.73 kg) of gold and 30,785 tolas (359 kg) of silver at international airports during the 5 months of FY 25-26.
The seized gold is valued at Rs. 100.67 million and silver at Rs. 205.67 million, totalling over Rs. 306 million.
Sharp surge in silver smuggling attempts has been observed amid rising market prices and strict import controls.
The FBR Spokesperson has reaffirmed resolve to curb smuggling, protect national economy & strengthen enforcement against illicit trade.
