FBR Employees Raise Concerns Over Disparity in Reward Distribution in Q1 FY25
Grade 1 to 16 of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has raised concerns over disparity in reward distribution during the first quarter of the current fiscal year. Sources told ProPakistani that employees have written a letter to the additional commission large taxpayers’ office in Islamabad regarding disparity in reward distribution. “We are writing to express our concerns regarding disparities in the distribution of rewards. It came to our knowledge that the reward of the first quarter ie. September Quarter 2024 predominantly expected to benefit the officers BS-17 and above only, ignoring the efforts of employees of BS 01-16,” they wrote. It is pertinent to mention that the employees of BS 01-16 have always been ignored whether it is regarding the utilization of the Common Pool Fund or any other benefit. The Common Pool Fund is attributed to the welfare of employees of the whole FBR. However, the employees of BS 01-16 are categorically ignored towards the allocation of the Common Pool Fund. These sorts of disparities and discriminatory practices have already affected the morals of the employees, and now the unfair distribution of rewards will further demoralize the employees BS 01-16. “We believe that equitable distribution of reward is crucial for fostering a positive work environment. Employees at all levels play a vital role in the success of the organization. Recognizing achievements across all tiers can motivate staff, enhance productivity, and improve overall job satisfaction,” they said. In view of the above, the employees of LTO Islamabad requested to resolve the concerns raised above, or the approved rewards of BS 1 to 16 may kindly be returned to FBR.
