FBR Starts Inquiry Against Officials Involved in Smuggling Solvent oil

The Chief Collector of Customs Enforcement Punjab has started an inquiry against officials allegedly involved in the smuggling of Solvent oil. Documents seen by ProPakistani said that FBR had ordered Chief Collector Punjab to conduct fact-finding inquiries against officials involved in solvent oil from the Taftan border to Punjab. FBR had received information that a network is involved in smuggling Solvent Oil from Iran/Taftan to Punjab. Reportedly. Customs officers/ officials are involved in facilitating the smuggling of Solvent Oil at the Taftan border as well as en route from Taftan to Punjab. FBR had directed the Chief Collector Punjab to conduct fact-finding inquiries in respect of these officers/officials and outcomes of the same may be shared with the Board by today, September 20, 2024.
