FFC, FFBL Announce Big Increase in DAP Prices

Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (PSX: FFC) and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (PSX: FFBL) have each announced a massive increase in DAP prices. JS Global confirmed to ProPakistani that both FFC and FFBL have increased DAP prices by Rs. 450 per bag. New prices stand at Rs. 11,665 per bag and Rs. 11,715 per bag for FFC and FFBL, respectively. This fresh increase in fertilizer prices could prove disastrous for farmers and national food security. Small farmers with poor cashflow will particularly suffer more than big setups as they can’t buy extortionate DAP immediately and need to arrange sufficient funds beforehand.
