Finance Division Reconstitutes 4-Member Committees for Hiring SECP Commissioner

The Finance Division has re-constituted four member committees under the chair of State Minister for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervaiz to conduct interviews of shortlisted candidates for the position of Commissioner SECP. The office order of the Finance Division states that in supersession of this Division’s Office Order of even number dated May 19, 2023, the Selection Committee under the chair of the state minister for finance and Revenue is hereby re-constituted to conduct interviews of shortlisted candidates for the post(s) of Commissioner SECP. The other members of the committee will be the Secretary Finance Division, Ehsan Malik, CEO of Pakistan Business Council, and Akif Saeed. Chairman SECP/Domain Expert. The Selection Committee will evaluate the candidates and recommend a panel of at least three (03) candidates for approval of the Federal Government for appointment against the vacant position(s) of Commissioner SECP in terms of Section 5 of the SECP Act 1997. It is pertinent to note that the position of Secp Commissioner is vacant for the last several months, and MoF has advertised the position some months back.
