Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed optimism about the ongoing negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), stating that a deal is expected soon.
Discussions with the IMF are in the final stages, and there are no major obstacles to reaching an agreement.
Pakistan is on track to achieve the economic discipline targets set by the IMF, and the country anticipates positive news from the IMF shortly.
“The series of negotiations with the IMF is ongoing,” Aurangzeb said during an informal discussion with the media. He emphasized that the talks are progressing smoothly and are nearing completion. He expressed confidence that Pakistan will soon receive “good news” from the IMF.
