FTO Shuts Down 6 Regional Offices, Removes Several Advisors

The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) has removed several advisors from their positions and closed six offices, including regional offices in Mianwali, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Abbottabad. Some of the Advisors Incharge at regional offices, including those in Mianwali and Sargodha, have also been removed from their respective positions. The advisor at Gujranwala will continue his work at Sialkot, and the positions of Hyderabad and Sukkur have been merged. In this regard, the FTO office has issued instructions to Advisors-in-Charge at the Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat and regional offices. According to a notification issued by the FTO office on Monday, it has been decided to close the FTO Secretariat regional offices at the aforementioned six locations. The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat regional offices located in Mianwali, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Abbottabad have been closed. In view of this, it is requested that vacation notices be served upon the owners of the respective office accommodations/buildings in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant lease agreements. Accordingly, all outstanding liabilities of the offices should be cleared, and proper handling and transfer of all physical assets, as well as consumable and non-consumable items, should be ensured, with intimation to this Secretariat.
