The price of gold in Pakistan posted a slight decline on Tuesday to close the day at Rs. 267,700 per tola.
According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 300 per tola to Rs. 267,700, while the price of 10 grams was down by Rs. 257 to Rs. 229,510.
On Monday, the price of the precious metal in the country surged to an all-time high of Rs. 268,000 per tola in line with rising international prices. Last week, gold breached the all-time high mark thrice in the local market.
The price of per tola and ten-gram silver remained unchanged at Rs. 2,950 and Rs. 2,529.14, respectively. The price of gold in the international market decreased by $18 to $2,569 from $2,587, the Association reported.
