The price of gold in Pakistan rose by Rs. 2,000 per tola on Friday after witnessing a major decline a day earlier.
According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 2,000 per tola to Rs. 278,800, while the price of 10 grams went up by Rs. 1,715 to Rs. 239,026.
The price of 10 grams 22 karat gold went up to Rs. 219,107 from Rs. 217,535, the Association reported.
Yesterday, the price of gold witnessed a decline of Rs. 5,400 per tola after prices in the international market fell to a three-week low with investors piling into the US dollar after Donald Trump was elected US president.
The price of gold in the international market also rose by $21 to $2,683 from $2,662 the last day, the Association said.
The price of per tola and 10 grams silver remained unchanged at Rs. 3,300 and Rs. 2,829.21 respectively.
