The price of gold in Pakistan rose on Thursday to hit a new all-time high.
According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 1,400 per tola to Rs. 254,900, while the price of 10 grams was up by Rs. 1,201 to Rs. 218,536.
It is pertinent to mention here that the price of the precious metal hit its all-time high of Rs. 254,000 on July 18. However, since hitting a record high, the price of gold subsided and remained range bound between Rs. 250,000 and Rs. 253,000.
On Wednesday, the price of the precious metal in the local market had risen by Rs. 1,200 per tola.
In the international market, spot gold was down 0.7 percent at $2,432.29 per ounce as of 0956 GMT after hitting a two-week high earlier in the session.
