The price of gold in Pakistan fell by over Rs. 1,000 per tola on the opening day of the week.
According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 1,300 per tola to Rs. 277,500, while the price of 10 grams was down by Rs. 1,115 to Rs. 237,911.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold fell to Rs. 218.085 from Rs. 219,107. It is pertinent to mention here that the price of the precious metal hit an all-time high of Rs. 287,900 per tola last month. Gold is trading more than Rs. 10,000 per tola below the record high price.
The price of per tola and 10-gram silver remained constant at Rs. 3,300 and Rs. 2,829.21, respectively.
The price of gold in the international market declined by $13 to $2,670 from $2,683, the Association said.
