The price of gold in Pakistan fell on Friday to slip below the Rs. 275,000 per tola barrier.
According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 1,000 per tola to Rs. 274,700, while the price of 10 grams was down by Rs. 857 to Rs. 235,511.
The price of gold in the international market decreased by $10 to $2,635 from $2,645, the Association reported.
The price of gold in the local market went up by Rs. 500 per tola on Thursday after holding firm on Wednesday. The price had gone up by Rs. 700 per tola on Tuesday while on Monday the price went down by Rs. 1,700 per tola.
