The price of gold in Pakistan posted an increase of over Rs. 2,000 per tola on Wednesday.
According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs. 2,300 per tola to Rs. 252,800, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs. 1,972 to Rs. 216,735.
It is pertinent to mention here the price of the precious metal in the local market hit an all-time high. However, in the following days, the price of gold dipped again.
In the international market, spot gold was up 0.7 percent at $2,425.28 per ounce as of 1349 GMT, while the US gold futures jumped 0.8 percent to $2,426.60.
