The price of gold in Pakistan fell by Rs. 1,000 per tola on Tuesday to close at Rs. 261,500.
According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) fell by Rs. 1,000 per tola to Rs. 261,500, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs. 857 to Rs. 224,194.
The price of the precious metal had remained unchanged a day earlier at Rs. 262,500 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices were largely steady on Tuesday as traders waited for the upcoming US jobs data. Spot gold stood at $2,498.87 per ounce by 1111 GMT, while the US gold futures were up 0.1 percent to $2,530.70.
