The price of gold in Pakistan hit another all-time high on Wednesday, after gaining Rs. 300 per tola.
According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs. 300 per tola to hit Rs. 261,000, while the price of 10 grams was up by Rs. 257 to Rs. 223,765.
On Tuesday, the price of the precious metal in the local market had risen by Rs. 700 per tola to a record high of Rs. 260,700 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices eased today after hitting record highs a day earlier. Spot gold fell 0.4 percent to $2,504.89 per ounce as of 0952 GMT, while the US gold futures were down 0.3 percent to $2,543.00.
