The price of gold in Pakistan posted its first decrease of December after two consecutive gains seen at the end of last week.
According to data issued by the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of gold (24 carats) went down by Rs. 1,700 per tola to Rs. 274,500, while the price of 10 grams fell by Rs. 1,457 to Rs. 235,340.
Last week, the price of the precious metal posted losses of Rs. 4,100 per tola and Rs. 4,300 on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Wednesday saw the price increase by Rs. 1,600 per tola before going down by Rs. 700 per tola on Thursday. On Friday, it went up by Rs. 2,100 per tola before falling again today.
The price of gold in the international market decreased by $10.5 to $2,635 from $2,646.
