Gold extended its rally in Pakistan on Friday, after a massive increase in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs. 10,700 during the day, reaching Rs. 454,262. The price of 10-gram gold also saw a significant increase, rising by Rs. 9,174 to settle at Rs. 389,456.
A day earlier, gold per tola had reached Rs. 443,562 after a modest gain of Rs. 500.
On the global front, gold prices surged by $107 to hit $4,319 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the local market also saw a notable jump, increasing by Rs. 232 to reach Rs. 6,684 per tola.
