The Government of Pakistan on Sunday approved the construction of a road project from Narowal to Sailkot for facilitating the access of Sikh pilgrims to Kartarpur.
According to details, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal inaugurated the 1.54 km road project, which cost Rs. 200 million.
The project will be completed in five months. It includes road construction, widening, and improvement of the sewerage system.
The construction of the road will solve the traffic problem in the vicinity of Narowal Railway Station.
The project’s construction will also facilitate Sikh pilgrims’ access to Kartarpur.
The project will increase employment opportunities and commercial activities in the area.
