Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain has instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to install electric vehicle charging stations at all petrol pumps in Islamabad.
This directive was issued during the fourth meeting of the Electric Vehicles Policy, chaired by the federal minister.
The federal minister applauded the CDA’s performance and announced plans to provide free electric bicycles to the top 120 students of the Federal Board. Additionally, 39,000 electric bicycles and 1,900 electric rickshaws will be made available on subsidized loans.
The minister also reviewed the progress of constructing 40 charging stations on motorways and national highways. To ensure transparency, the entire process will be digitized. Furthermore, the federal minister stated that Islamabad will be transformed into a model city in line with the Prime Minister’s vision.
