The federal government has reconstituted the Board of Directors (BoDs) of five electricity distribution companies (DISCOs).
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy, Dr Tahir Masood has been appointed as the Chairman/Independent Director of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO). Four other independent directors have also been appointed to the board.
Amer Zia has been appointed as the Chairman/Independent Director of Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) along with four other independent directors.
Omer Farooq Khan has been appointed as the Chairman/Independent Director of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) along with four other independent directors.
Amer Zia has been appointed as the Chairman/Independent Director of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) along with four other independent directors.
Himayat Ullah Khan has been appointed as the Chairman/Independent Director of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) along with four other independent directors.
All independent directors have been appointed for a period of three years or till further orders. Notifications for Boards of the above-mentioned DISCOs have been issued separately by the Ministry of Energy.
