Hascol Petroleum Limited (PSX: HASCOL) has announced the appointment of Javed Ahmedjee as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective today, according to a filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
With over three decades of leadership experience, Ahmedjee brings a diverse background spanning energy, banking, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, education, and capital markets. His career includes senior roles at global Fortune 500 companies and regional enterprises across Pakistan, Africa, and Europe.
He is credited with leading the turnaround of Puma Energy, steering it towards commercial viability and future-readiness. In Pakistan, he played a key role in the country’s largest pharmaceutical merger and has successfully led multiple mergers and acquisitions across emerging markets.
Ahmedjee has served as a board member and advisor to major institutions including Citibank, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Puma Energy, Shajar Capital, and the Karachi Port Trust.
Hascol’s board welcomed the appointment as a significant step in the company’s journey. “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Ahmedjee and value the experience he brings. Hascol Petroleum is currently focused on restructuring and strategic recovery following financial and operational challenges in recent years.
