Holiday Inn & Suites to Open A Hotel in Islamabad in August 2028

IHG® Hotels & Resorts is expanding its presence in Pakistan by partnering with MGC Developments to launch Holiday Inn & Suites Islamabad DHA II. A franchise agreement was signed yesterday for constructing the project in DHA II. The 150-room hotel is scheduled to open in August 2028 and will become part of IHG’s global portfolio of over 1,000 operational Holiday Inn hotels. Designed for modern travelers, the hotel will feature the brand’s innovative Open Lobby concept, blending work, dining, and relaxation spaces into a multifunctional hub. The hotel’s facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, fitness center, outdoor pool, spa, meeting spaces, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Guests will also enjoy Holiday Inn’s popular ‘Kids Stay and Eat Free’ program. This expansion taps into Pakistan’s growing yet unbranded hospitality sector. Set for development in DHA Phase II, the hotel is expected to offer easy access to Islamabad’s cultural landmarks, including Faisal Mosque and Pakistan Monument. IHG currently operates 193 hotels across South West Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, with 160 more set to open in the coming years.
