Jamil Ahmad Qureshi Appointed as Secretary SIFC Division

The federal government has posted a grade 21 officer of the Board of Investment Jamil Ahmad Qureshi as Additional Secretary Incharge of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, Jamil Ahmed Quershi, a BS 21 officer of BOI, has assumed the charge of Additional Secretary (Incharge) SIFC Division with immediate effect from July 23, 2024. ProPakistani reported earlier that the prime minister has approved the establishment of the SIFC division and directed the Cabinet, Establishment, and Finance Divisions to work on budget, human resources, and other issues. The government has reportedly allocated the 2nd floor of the PM Secretariat to SIFC officials, a place not accessible to everyone. The government also plans to hire people from the private sector to strengthen and enhance the capacity of the department.
