The Finance Division has extended the last date for encashment, replacement and conversion of Rs. 40,000, Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 7,500 denomination National Prize Bonds (bearer) up to December 31, 2024.
In a circular, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) informed banks that the last date for encashment, conversion and redemption of National Prize Bonds (NPBs) earlier communicated as June 30, 2024, has been extended by the federal government.
The central bank also asked the banks to submit branch/ region wise consolidated data of cited denomination NPBs held by them on last date i.e. December 31, 2024, latest by January 02, 2025, as per the instructions stipulated in CMD Circular No. 1 dated April 30, 2021.
Moreover, it advised that all commercial banks shall surrender the cited prize bonds to respective SBP BSC Office at the latest by January 31, 2025.
