The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) carried out enforcement actions against illegal commercial activities and non-payment of commercialization fees in Lahore.
On Monday, LDA teams sealed 15 buildings in Shadman and 25 premises in Gulshan-e-Ravi due to non-payment of commercialization fees.
The sealed premises include a range of establishments such as Jalal Sons, Breakout, Afzal Electronics, a bank, a private school, a bakery, an auto workshop, various brand shops, and offices. The operation, supervised by LDA Director Town Planning Zone-I Ayesha Mutahir, was conducted by enforcement teams with police assistance.
According to LDA officials, prior warnings were issued to the property owners before the enforcement action. Director General Tahir Farooq has emphasized the need to maintain rigorous operations against breaches of building regulations, unauthorized commercial activities, and encroachments throughout the provincial capital.
