Man Reaches Court After Receiving Electricity Bill of Rs. 1.5 Lac for Using 126 Units
A Lahore resident has filed a complaint with the Lahore High Court against LESCO after receiving a bill of Rs. 143,000 for 126 electricity units. The petition names the CEO of LESCO and the DG of FIA as respondents. The petitioner alleges that LESCO officials issued a bill of Rs. 143,000 for 126 units and failed to correct it despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue. The petitioner claims that many individuals in the area engage in electricity theft. Consequently, LESCO recovers these losses from those who regularly pay their bills, unfairly passing the burden of line losses and other damages onto them. The petitioner has requested the Lahore High Court to instruct LESCO officials to address and rectify the billing issue.
