Pakistan’s textile exports rose by over 17 percent in September 2024, according to trade data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Thursday.
According to data, the country’s textile exports rose 17.6 percent to $1.605 billion in September 2024 compared to $1.364 billion in September 2023.
However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, the textile exports in September 2024 were down 2.4 percent compared to exports of $1.644 billion in August 2024.
In 1QFY25, textile exports stood at $4.520 billion, up 9.3 percent over textile exports of $4.134 billion reported in 1QFY24.
In September 2024’s textile exports, Knitwear had the largest share with exports of $448 million, followed by Readymade Garments at $338 million, Bed Wear at $290 million, and Cotton Cloth at $201 million.
