PEC Okays Formation of Young Engineers National Forum

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), taking a significant step toward addressing the challenges faced by young engineers, has officially approved the formation of the Young Engineers National Forum. This decision was taken during a recent meeting of the PEC Governing Body, with the aim of providing a strong, organized, and representative platform for the country’s young engineers. According to the Pakistan Engineering Council, the Young Engineers National Forum will represent young engineers from across the country. Associations of young engineers from various sectors have been invited to join the forum in order to establish a nationwide, integrated network. The forum will play a key role in tackling the challenges faced by young engineers, fostering professional development, and enhancing leadership skills. It will also organize a range of training programs, seminars, and conferences to equip young engineers with modern-day knowledge and skills. PEC Chairman Engineer Waseem Nazir stated on the occasion that young engineers have a vital role in national development, and their guidance and growth are a top priority for PEC. He said the forum will become the voice of the youth and serve as a transparent and effective platform. The Chairman further added that this initiative will not only provide better opportunities for young engineers at the local level but will also enable them to represent Pakistan internationally, marking a milestone for the country’s engineering community.
