PSX to Remain Closed on September 17

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on September 17, Tuesday, on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. “All TRE Certificate Holders, staff and concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ( ) 12th – Rabi ul Awal,” the stock exchange informed all investors in a brief notice on Friday. It is pertinent to mention here that the Cabinet Division releases a list of all public holidays throughout the year. According to this list, Eid Milad-un-Nabi was listed for September 16. Following confirmation from the Ruet-e-Hilal committee, the federal government has confirmed September 17 as a public holiday. All schools, colleges, government, semi-government and private offices will remain closed.
