Remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis increased by 29 percent to $2.915 billion in November 2024 compared to inflows of $2.259 billion reported in the same month of last fiscal year (FY24).
This is the ninth straight month that the remittances have remained near or above the $3 billion level.
However, on a month-on-month basis, the remittances fell by 5 percent in November 2024 compared to inflows of $3.005 billion reported last month i.e. October 2024.
During 5MFY25, remittances rose by 34 percent to $14.766 billion compared to inflows of $11.053 billion in 5MFY24.
Remittances inflows during November 2024 were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia ($729 million), the United Arab Emirates ($619 million), the United Kingdom ($410 million) and the United States ($288 million).
